Description

2 whio seen from the car while crossing the SH73 Kelly Ck Bridge. The 2 birds were in the creek about 10m upstream of the bridge. No photos taken, but seen clearly enough to confirm species id.

Found and photographed on 25/6/19 by Malcolm Mason, washed up Jacks Road, E:1449985 N:5293865 south of Greymouth, NZ. Approx 300-400mm long. Specimen collected & frozen by Darrell Haworth (DOC Greymouth) to be lodged in the collection at Museum of NZ Te Papa Tongarewa.
