An incredible seed pod I found along the ground while hiking.
An army ant, Eciton hamatum, bridge built during a migration one night.
Some small bats resting on a branch over a sit on Cocha Lobo.
An ocellated poorwill egg. I know this because it always nested right next to the trail.
An enormous cane toad I found!
A great toucan spotted from atop a radio tower.
An emperor tamarin, part of a larger troop, stopped to look at the strange things below.
A large red caterpillar found along side a trail at Los Amigos Biological Research Station.
A small fer-de-lance coiled up alongside a trail. One of the park guards had found it while cleaning up a trail.
A subterranean army ant species I found crossing a trail.
A strange caterpillar I collected that had a helmet like casing on its head. This casing came off when it was placed into alcohol. It is probably just a part of a previous molt that did not completely come off. I tested the hairs and it is not poisonous.
