Barred Coral Snake (Hemibungarus calligaster)Observer
enriqueDate
Missing DateDescription
Spotted while trekking up from what is called Iguana falls (about 30 minutes trek) on a narrow path with native bushes on both sides. The weather was sunny and cloudy with short showers in the morning. The snake crossed my path from right to left about a meter in front of me. I did not had the time to get the camera, also the bushes on both sides are thick and low, which blocks any view of the ground. The location on the map is not exact as no GPS was available, to be edited when found correct trail position.

Desert Hare (Lepus tibetanus)Observer
enriqueDescription
I have seen many hares in the past 7 years I have been in this area (northwest of Yulin city) but they are always too fast running to get a shot with the camera. I always carry my camera in the car for possibility of shooting when they suddenly are in sight. While we were returning to our base, my driver slowed down and stop and called my attention as there was a hare besides the road just "sitting". I grabbed the camera and took a couple of shots then the hare took off and disappeared.
