About .5 inch long. Metallic green with two white spots on either side and a white smudge in the back.
Small brown and yellow butterfly.
Small, less than 1 cm. Yellowish- orange, broadly cupped, fringed with fine hairs resembling eyelashes.
Orangish-red globules, and red stems with brownish black heads. Are they different forms of the same slime mold?
Light brown with 4 sets of small, black, cream-rimmed spots near the edges of the wings, with another, smaller set on the lower wings. The wings are edged with a double line of darker brown.
Unfortunately, the myco-powers that be have decided to change this fungus' name from Clavicorona pyxidata to Artomyces pyxidatus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artomyces_pyxidatus
This coral fungus often reminds me of a multi-branched candelabra.
