Wild flowers observed included Sky Lupine (Lupinus nanus), Red Maids (Calandrinia cillata), Blue-eyed Grass (Sisyinchium bellum) and Calif. Poppy (Eschscholzia californica).
Birds observed included Red Tail Hawks (Buteo Jamaicensis), Violet-Green Swallows (Techycineta thalassina), Calif. Quail (Callipepla californica) and Mourning Doves (Zenaida macroura)

It's Harbor Seal pupping time at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve in Carmel, CA. The best vantage point is the beach near Whalers Cabin. I saw at least 20 mothers, most with new pups, and a few still waiting to give birth.
