Description

At 1:05 p.m. (Central) in Waco, Texas, on Bagby Road, about 200 yards north of the intersection of Bagby Road and State Hwy 6, a tortoise was crossing Bagby Road towards the Central Texas Marketplace on the other side. It was crossing just shy of the Sonic restaurant on Bagby. The tortoise had a slash of red color on its neck. I picked up the tortoise and returned it to about 50 yards in the habitat that it had been walking from. I placed it in a area of ankle-high weeds and grass.
