Description

On a one hour brush tramp on a clear sunny but cool (14 degrees) day I saw not a single bird of any description! A few distant unidentified bird calls were the only evidence that there was any life in the forest except plants.

Description

7 Kereru during a 2 hour tramp Hutt River from Totara Park via Birchville Dam. One near the dam, 1 on tree by Hutt River at Birchville and 2 more in Harcourt Park and last 2 on electricity wires right outside my home in central Upper Hutt.
