The famous Veteran's Cypress I'm pretty sure I have the location correct.
Low growing, amongst the coastal strand community.
I was thinkin' it might be Lotus scoparius var. scoparius
Do I have this one right?
Found in association with Monterey pines. Tons of spores laying on the ground.
I found a couple of these beetles in the Monterey pines of Point Lobos. I can only find the Golden Net-winged Beetle as a possible ID. My book states that its range is the eastern United States. This makes me curious to whether or not I have the correct ID.
