Really strange but - those are a tourist attraction in National Park Seewinkel ;-) rabbits originally weren't native here (only hares are!) but now are a part of wildlife (for centuries already), and as they aren't too common here - and immensely popular in their role of Easter Bunny - I've got suspicions that the national park management is breeding them here for the tourists ...

ID source: Fischer & al., Exkursionsflora für Österreich, Liechtenstein und Südtirol (2008, 3rd edition); ripe fruit (standing upright instead of hanging) clearly is indicating L. perenne here
Habitat: raw danube rubble, which would be the natural habitat of this plant
Occurrence: Very rare in Austria, and not known being native here in Linz. For this reason it is very likely or even almost certain that those have been seeded/planted on purpose; possibly even with "best intentions" (i. e., conservation of rare plants) which however is still negative in terms of nature conservation principles.

German name: Kopfnelke
ID source: Fischer & al., Exkursionsflora für Österreich, Liechtenstein und Südtirol (2008, 3rd edition)
Habitat: raw rubble near a newly built road
Occurrence: Rare but not extremely so in Eastern Austria, this place here however is special: in this neighbourhood it is a very rare plant but newly built roads created dry rubble where it found a new habitat - on some places only in very small numbers but here with a population of at least a hundred plants, which is not so often seen from this species.
This, however, is only a transitional habitat - either it will be overgrown by other ruderal plants pretty soon - or city gardeners will change it into a regularly mown lawn.
