Dichomeris sandycitis (Meyrick, 1907)
This handsome little moth (forewing length in the order of 7mm) has been recorded from several sites in Hong Kong, most regularly at Tai Tam Country Park on Hong Kong Island. This photo was take at a moth trap set up outside a washroom adjacent to a large BBQ area (totally deserted during the week) close to the Parkview entrance to the country park.

This is one of only a handful of records of this unusual Prominent Moth (family Notodontidae) from Hong Kong; all the records have been during the dry season (November - March) from secondary forest.
