Description

I picked a cherry tomato from my garden in early September, not realizing there was a Monarch chrysalis attached to it. I rigged up a way to let it hang free and kept it in my house. On 9/25 it began to emerge, which I noticed probably 2 or 3 hours after it began the process. Sadly, the butterfly didn't make it. It seemed to have become stuck and could not emerge.
