New Zealand Fantail (Rhipidura fuliginosa)Observer

Garden located within the Ilam gardens off Ilam road. Cover was a mix of large well established trees, both native and introduced, with areas of smaller bush and grass in between. The varying levels of vegetation, including dense and sparsely covered areas, provide plenty of cover and potential nesting sites for birds.Various bird species were sited however the only fleshy fruit boring plant in the immediate area was a large ginkgo tree.
