4 and a half feet tall. Sap is milky. Stem is woody. Underneath of leaf is thorny along central vein.
These guys are on all the flowers. This one is on a native sunflower. Very small bee...shiny metallic green.

Likely a Pickerel Frog....still not 100 percent it isn't N. Leopard. The back thighs seem to have a yellow cast but I couldn't see that until I looked at the photo.(possibly reflected light off the algae?)
Small spider crawling on basil. After looking through many images and the reference to this spider having been identified in Monroe County...I am feeling very confident that it is Oxyopes salticus.
Small wasp like fly, strikingly blue. As far as flies go, this as a pretty one.
