This is part of the Howard Eaton trail in Yellowstone NP. It begins near Yellowstone Falls and ends at Fishing Bridge, passing through Hayden Valley and alongside the Yellowstone River part way. In addition to bison, elk, and their newly born caves roam this area of the park in early spring. The elk calves attract grizzly bears, and the trail is typically closed in spring, and/or warning signs are posted. A hiker was attacked killed by a sow grizzly on this trail in June, 2011.
