Description

While digging in my garden, I excavated this lizard. It was about five inches long and had two fore limbs and no rear legs. Very worm like. Paddle-like limbs. Grey color. Appeared to be blind. I released it unharmed. I'm certain of my identification because it was so unusual.

I found it below a very moist earthen berm on a steep north facing hill in a native oak grove (my back yard).
