Probably from a busy nest under the eaves. Wingspan ~3cm
About 2 mm long, unfamiliar in our building, the four we saw probably came in with some produce.
In my new back yard, urban infill. Growing in rocky mystery clay with a thin layer of organic debris. There were a few larger individuals, and then more came up after I pulled the taller weeds that were over growing them. They are the first thing that has shown signs of spreading since that cull. Ornamental, hardy native, terrifying invader?
5 individuals foraging
This bird may have made the local urban rodents nervous. I saw one of them make a run for it from one hedge to another. The bird saw it too, and moved from a tree perch to a nearby bench to make a couple of forays into the bushes, but without any luck
about 6cm long
Sorry this is the best I could do! All red body, dark wings. 2cm long.
Relaxed slug, then irritated slug.
