Description

The fungus in the shelf structure are growing on a cedar stump. About two feet from this stump is the little cluster (3rd photo) emerging from the ground. Cedar and pine overstory.

Description

This guy was found in a pile of soil at the Friends of Sausal Creek nursery in Joaquin Miller Park that was delivered a few weeks ago (from American Soil in Richmond). I am unsure of the original soil source location.

The surface of this large red patch (for lack of a better description) was slimy and had a little "give" to it. It was exposed at Heart's Desire Beach at low tide.

Description

This is unlike anything i've seen. A person in my gruop thought it might be a sea hare egg case. It was slimy-smooth, pliable and attached to the rock. There were sea hares nearby.
