This looks like some type of trout to me. It is in the Northwestern University lagoon.
After further observation in recent days, I believe the fish photographed by me is a Stealhead. I've observed same type of fish near the lagoon outlet that might be waiting to spawn. Stealhead do this in the Spring, unlike salmon.
