A cottontail rabbit we found at the Scofield Farms Park near our house in Austin, Tx. We visit her and her friends every day since then, and have gotten to know them and their gang very well. You can see extensive blood vessels on her long ears, which cool her body off during long hot Texas summers.

As the state flower of Texas, Bluebonnets thrive in dry land. In spring we can see bluebonnet-covered-hills and meadows everywhere. But I found this one growing between rocks in the Lady Bird Johnson Park in Fredericksburg particularly inspiring.
