Netted while looking for Macroinvertebrates. Water level was up, if this matters. I took it to people very familiar with aquatic insects (MBI). They observed there were no internal structure visible. No mouth or Anus observed. No idea what it is except it has movement so not likely plant material. See it in motion on YouTube at
https://youtu.be/x5w88gNd8sA.
It is about 4 mm in length at rest. As a reference, the frame above and blow is 20 mm apart. The specimen pictured is in water. Many bumps on the body. The pic and video were shot on an iPhone 14 Pro with the subject in a dish of water held above the lens. The Macro lens was used. Until it dies, I will not preserve it.
Update-5-5-23 It was motionless this morning so I dropped it into 91% isopropyl alcohol to preserve it as best I can

6 prolegs. Could attach by either end to a surface and moved like a leech. I did not notice any jointed legs under a scope as it is alive and not accommodating. 6 mm in length. One pic is enlarged vie iPhone app. Sawfly? Found on common milkweed.
