What
Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus)Observer
jspruillDescription
The owl is making periodic nightly visits to the nest, often talking to her mate perched in the area. No eggs as yet.
The nest pole is on the edge of the tidal marsh. Photos captured through our nest cam
There are a lot of grey squirrels and small rodents in the area so there should be ample food for a successful nest.

They were released alive on an oyster reef not far from where the oysters were raised in an oyster farm. It was great to watch them swim away. I hope they survive.
