Saw this today on a rocky climb a month perhaps ahead of time. The only bloom so it's the first one out. This belongs to the leaves on the right. The leaves on the left are lesser celandine.
I don't know what this is. My camera was on the wrong exposure setting but I think it's okay for an ID. I was down in a valley by a stream about 50 feet from an abandoned spring house. This thing doesn't die off in the winter. Haven't seen any flowers on it.
