What

Feral Pigeon (Columba livia var. domestica)

Observer

kfwinters

Date

May 19, 2013

Description

At a local park, 30 white and a few mixed color pigeons. Tired and worn, seemed tame. Called Lancaster Bird Club, confirmed they were racing pigeons. No tags on legs. Published the info in the local paper, but no one ever claimed them. They never left, but their numbers dwindled.
