I was trying to photograph a cricket, but it hopped away, and I was left with this image of a grass forest. The family Juncaceae is a guess. What species could it be?

This was my first time seeing rattlesnakes in the wild! Two individuals, an adult and a sub-adult, were found under a wooden board on a hillside near a stream.
These are the same rattlesnakes that Ken-ichi Ueda observed on the same day. (In fact, I believe they were his find.)
