Observed in a cow pasture.

Another larva found in a small man-made pond.
A dragonfly that just metamorphosed from nymph to adult?
Larva of an aquatic insect, found in a small pond.
Many aquatic garter snakes, adults and juveniles, were observed in and around a series of man-made ponds.
This was my first time seeing rattlesnakes in the wild! Two individuals, an adult and a sub-adult, were found under a wooden board on a hillside near a stream.
These are the same rattlesnakes that Ken-ichi Ueda observed on the same day. (In fact, I believe they were his find.)
