Spent the longest time trying to ID this guy before settling on a winter Chipping Sparrow: pale bill, notched tail, 2 wing bars, gray around the nape. Was originally thinking it was a Swamp Sparrow that had lost its swamp, but the wing bars ruled that out.
At least 1 male and one female, possibly more. Wondering if it's the same group that we've been seeing at the pond at West Beach.
Saw several of them eating crabs.
