This one was in line with my previous sightings of C. oregona.
It's hard to believe that frogs can not only live but breed on the dunes, but here's the evidence.
Tiger beetles were getting it on right and left. I've seen C. oregona previously at Abbotts Lagoon, but the white marking extending almost all around the elytral margin is making me think it might be something else...

For the record I was holding it gently, not squeezing it. It was just adamant about trying to bite me.
