Southern Short-tailed Shrew (Blarina carolinensis)Observer
larijoDescription
While stopping for a potty break I saw my first shrew on the preserve. The small brown mammal with an elongated nose came and went rather quickly. It was about the length of my index finger. I am sure with all of the flooding this mammal was looking for a place to stay dry.
