Is this called a cats tail? Cool looking plant found in U-district near Portage Bay. Has stripes of brown white and black.
Mallard found swimming and bobbing its head for food in Portage Bay. He was hanging out with another mallard that was doing the same thing.

Weird lookin plant. Has pointy leaves and stems with multiple brown little seeds. Seeds have a small indentation in each one.
Some type of small pink flower found growing near Portage Bay. Smelt really nice, had fuzzy leaves.
A Tree I found a bird's nest in. Bark looks cracked, with some presence of lichen. Looks deciduous. Has small leaves growing not only on the branches on the top of the tree, but also near the bottom of the tree.
