Description

One of many newly emerged bees buzzing around the dunes at Abbott's Lagoon. In addition to the adults, the dunes were littered with little tunnels (left from emerging adults) and discarded 'shells' (brought to the surface by winds/shifting dunes?). I found one 'shell' still intact and made a hole to reveal the pupae that must have died mid-development (thanks to Jim on BugGuide for the ID)
