Description

I used the beaker, lid, detergent and sodium benzoate for setting up a pitfall trap one week in my garden to do the invertebrates observation.
I just find one in my beaker and it is a kind of springtails but I don't the detail name. This species is very interesting that it has circular body and a pair of long tentacle.

This species is a kind of spingtails and there has a large number in my beaker.
Onychiuridae have 3 pairs of short legs and 1 pair of short tentacle.

Description

I put the tracking tunnel with peanut butter in the backyard where has long grass and some shrubs for three nights to test that attract mammals to here and leave their footprint.
And I found some clear footprint with ink on the half of card that look like Hedgehog.

I saw the some fantail birds close to a river in riccarton bush, and they always flew in pairs.

Fantail has keen action and flew quickly.
Their tail is very beauty when it open like a fun that is black and white.
