This spider wandered up out of the yard waste bag I'd filled with ferns, weeds, and bits of azalea I'd trimmed from our azalea hedge, with the weeds growing out of a Pachysandra bed below the azaleas.

Gathering from across the country for a family wedding, our family took advantage of the days before the wedding to have fun together. One day, we rented kayaks from Southwind Kayak Center and paddled up Newport Bay, and then down into the harbor. The paddling safety rules had mentioned "do not approach whales, dolphins, or seals: they may approach you." We didn't exactly find seals, but we found a sea lion.

Apparently when these aphids congregate, they drop "honeydew", which stains cars below them, and which can grow moldy and discolor trees.
