What

Horsetails (Genus Equisetum)

Observer

lydia2

Date

October 6, 2014

Description

Horsetails are seedless vascular plants. The vascular tissue in the plant allows water and nutrients to be transported throughout the plant. The body of this plant is divided into stems, leaves, and reproductive structures. These plants can grow much taller than non-vascular plants because the tissue causes plants to no longer have contact with a moist environment and it provides structural strength within stems.
