This snake was laying in the shade, which I thought strange as it was chilly in the shade. When he saw me, he moved into this water puddle and stayed. He's about 20 inchs long, beautiful gold eyes.
3 Shrikes in the same morning!! This guy with the lizard seemed to want me to take his photo! He moved from inside the tree to a top branch, then sat there waiting.
I think this is a Red Tail Hawk.
According to my Peterson field guide, this duck is very rare along in the United States!! Because they're rare in the states, I'm not going to mark them on my map! Their location is secret! Let them winter over in peace!
A Bufflehead is the closest I've come up with. This could be a young female, not sure.

These Crabs have very long back legs and they jump. I noticed that the bigger crabs have an orange color, but it could be because it was spring time and possibily breeding season.
