You cannot really tell by this photo, but this is the biggest one I've ever seen. It seemed at least a foot long. Very alligator-like!

This morning I saw what looked like a worm drying out on the floor, inside my house, and picked it up and discovered this adorable Slender Salamander, covered in debris, seemingly dead. But I got some movement when I picked it up, so I cleaned it off with some rainwater and placed it back out on the patio, inside a little frog house. This is the second salamander this week that has gotten into my house. It's raining so much here in Marin County that it's even too wet for salamanders I guess!
