Observations by maryvanv

This is a bluebird nest with five eggs found in a bird house and mysteriously abandoned. Very likely one adult was killed and its mate fled, or it was killed by a House sparrow, but the eggs were left intact, (unlike most HOSP behavior). Originally there were six eggs, but one broke.
