Two individuals observed feeding on a rotting vertical stump (approx. 90cm high)
I had no idea what kind of bird this was until I got home and looked at the picture....the little hook on the beak is pretty clear.
The evening light was really low and so the picture quality was too poor for me to get a positive species ID.
5 adults observed in a section of open water of a stream opposite West Lake Provincial Park
One individual heard calling.
Group of 6 common redpoles observed foraging.
