I think this is probably C. cecrops, but would appreciate a second opinion.

White around eye distinguishes from Western Grebe (Aechmophorus occidentalis); terrible photo, but I think this was my first sighting.

Saw a number of other bluets, but figured the in copula pair were probably the most identifiable. And yet...I cannot figure out what they might be.

Either Northern Spreadwing (Lestes disjunctus) or Lyre-tipped Spreadwing (Lestes unguiculatus). Both are known from the area, but of course I didn't get a photo of the back of the head or the ovipositor.
Can anyone tell which one this is?

There were a large number (10+) of these raptors sitting in a field (!) in fairly close proximity, which I have never seen before, but I did not get a good look at most of them and am not very good with raptors.
