Although this Species of fungus is often found to infect oak, I found it on another species of plant that I have not yet determined. However the disease from on plant to the next is similar in the discoloration and the manner at which it occurs in the plants.

Description

This is a common type of grass and is often used by humans for lawn grass for its green color. This grass was found outside the edge of our baseball field. The top of the grass has a purple like hue to it caused by the seeds being ready to be spread because of the length of the wide bladed grass.
