Sawflies, Horntails, and Wood Wasps (Suborder Symphyta)Observer
michaelmottaDescription
Very tiny bright green (lime lollipop color) translucent larvae. I'd seen them before as well, often descending trees in small clusters while sticking to their threads. I don't think they were even a centimeter in length.

What
Royal Catchfly (Silene regia)Observer
michaelmottaDescription
Rain-drenched and a little bit past its peak. From what I gather, Silene regia is rare in Michigan, but all signs I read (including help from others) led me to this ID.
