Description

Large redwood, perhaps 80-100 years old. Large portion of top fell in storm in 1996. This tree has perhaps been the parent to dozens of younger trees in the wooded area.

Description

Perhaps to most interesting redwood in this natural area. Age perhaps 10 years or less. This tree is just one of dozens of very young redwoods spread over a 4.5 acre area. The trees are spaced in a manner to suggest they were not planted by a person but instead seeded naturally from the two larger redwoods in the vicinity. I do not know if this is common in Wa state.
