This has sporophytes!
Ok I think I found the elusive slime hairs and they looked one celled but if I really squint I think I can see a basal cell.. the question is are these slime hairs 2 celled or 2-6 celled.. sigh..
Anyway the psuedoperianths are a bit pressed down onto the thallus rather that straight up and tubular so I'm going with neesiana as the male and female plants are separate.
It was growing exactly where a pellia should grow on a seepy bank next to a slow stream. There was conocephalum near by.
Saw this at about 1,500 feet next to a trail in a douglas-fir second growth forest. Looks like muscaria but is smaller and is the wrong time of year.
Cute little cup fungi on the side of the trail about 2,000 feet up.
This plant was a vine with glossly leaves, some of them in sets of three. Could it be poison ivy?
These were at about 1000-1,500 feet in elevation on the side of a trail that was converted to a logging road and has now been converted back to a trail.
This was down low on the trail next to Lake Cushman by the houses and the gate. About 800 feet in elevation.
