Lot's of red-breasted mergansers around, and I think, this far group is mostly composed of this species. However, looking over the photos now, there is likely at least one male common merganser in there. It's possible I saw others and just didn't catch them, but of the 40-60 r-b mergansers I saw walking along Lake Michigan over two days, this is the only common merganser that I have documented.
