ID based on size and geometry of apertural seal rings. Shell fragments as well.
Live snails (4 total, 2 shown) found clustered at base of introduced buffel grass at edge of basalt talus.
Species name not in authority DB. Elevated to species status in Miller (1984) due to distinctive traits of the verge vs S coloradoensis.
Rainy night. Sub-adult resting under dead shrub, ambient temp about 49F. Replaced shrub after photo.

Observed in a sizeable backwater pool (sidechannel during active flow).

Plopped down on me from a hidey-hole while I was searching for pulmonates within a talus slope.
This basal insect order arose in the Devonian and are essentially unchanged. Remarkable little beasts.
