Description

These flowers were fairly small, and were blossoming from a stem that weaved through a large shrub. They were very attractive flowers; mostly red with hints of pink. The stem they were attached to was more of a branch, coarse and brown

Description

This plant was floating in a creek near my house it had very large leaves-about 10 inches long and 6 inches wide, and a long stem reaching to the bottom of the creek. The leaves were dark green along with the stem, but the stem faded to a yellow. The creek is very slow moving.

Description

These flowers were growing in a large cluster close to the ground. The flowers were very small, but looked alot like monkey flowers.

Found under a rock on damp ground. The dark lateral bands led me to assume that the species was Lehmannia valentiana

Description

I found this wood louse under a rotting barrel. There were about 2 dozen under this barrel. They were all a light greyish tone with hints of brown. One thing I noticed was that they were not able to completely roll into a ball

Found this spider under an old wine barrel. I was very startled at first as I thought it was a black widow. However, I looked closer and it was actually a dark brown and didn't have an hourglass. It was crawling around an egg sac, which I included a picture of

Darted around when I lifted up the rock it was under. About 3/4 of an inch long and very skinny. It's small size made it appear juvenile

I found this on the bank near a creek at a par near my house. It was about 4 feet tall and had long green leaves with lines going from top to bottom. The stem faded into shades of yellow
