Yesterday while snowshoeing with my brother in the Farmington Memorial Forest we stumbled upon these animal tracks and scat. One of the pieces of scat was inside of the track. Looked like a paw print, I guessed bobcat but we will see if anyone else can do a better job Identifying it.
The photo was taken with my flip phone so the resolution is not great.

On my way to work this morning I noticed that as a result of the recent freezing temperatures, part of the magestic Connecticut River (Between the Buckley and Founders Bridges in Hartford) had frozen over. I find it impressive that the conditions were able to freeze over such a huge tidal river.
