Blades were small approximately 5cm to 15cm tall and 2cm to 4cm wide. The F. gardneri was above the water level and was in the process of desiccation. Most of the conceptacles were deflated, only a few still had air in them. The substrate was rocky and exposed. Density was estimated at 15-20% ground cover.
