A new species for the campus list! Yellow Warblers were singing back and forth from the trees lining the shore of Kelly Lake. I took a quick lap yesterday after being booted out of my office so it could be used for a short meeting.
Nothing spectacular, but a nice interruption from work. Walking past the art studio, this yarrow bloom with a Spotted Cucumber Beetle and a Ladybird Beetle (Cyclomeda sanguinea?) caught my eye. I occasionally hear the cucumber beetles described as "green ladybugs." I thought this would be a fun entry as my first i-naturallist contribution.
