Coastal Dudleya on a beach trail in Monterey, California. Saw quite a few on the walk, many showed signs of stress wth some great red coloration. Short trail at the end of Duncrest Ave, chance to see some great coastal natives.
Presumably mom and pup Harbor Seal aka Pacific common seals, P. v. richardsi, hanging out on the shore. Shortly after I shot this picture the pup hopped into the tide and went for a swim.
Beautiful Pride of Madeira (Echium candicans) on the coast of California. They bloom bright every year and attract all kinds of polinators.
