Description

65F, Near Dark

A large individual, ~7cm. Found under a rock (~14"x10"x4"). Stayed perfectly still after the rock was flipped, but escaped when I attempted to catch it. This area looks like a dry creekbed, but it does not look as though it has held water any time recently. The trees are more oak-y than in the rest of this juniper-dominated area and the soil is less sandy than in much of the surrounding region.

Description

Was seen in a small pool of water. In very low water level in El Corte De Madera Creek. Just below the bridge recently constructed on the Methuselah Trail. It is obviously quite large even as viewed underwater.

Description

65F, Intermittent Breeze, Intermittent Sun

Found under a large rock (~20"x12"x5") along a trail; ground is sandy/gravelly soil. We also found a large-ish scorpion under the same rock.

Somewhat active - tried to hop away half-heartedly when rock was flipped. Once caught was calm and inactive, even on open palm.
