On the North Country trail. Up on high bluff , found this anomaly popping out of the dry sandy soil next to oak.
It looks like a fly, bug catcher! Could it be a "Lady Slipper"? Cypripedium regime or Showy Lady's Slipper Queen or Lady's Slipper pink-and-white. It is the state flower of Minnesota.
